Looking for catalytic converter scrap (not catalytic converter itself) X5 E53 4.4/4.8

Looking for catalytic converter scrap (not catalytic converter itself) as shown in the picture (white box). This is for X5 E53 4.4 or 4.8 with N62 engine (2004-2006). Most would throw that part away but I need it intact both sides with neat straight cuts well below the oxygen sensors and with oxygen sensor holes in intact condition. If you know of a part that would fit (a down pipe from another vehicle may be perhaps) or any other improvisations, please let me know.

It's not a difficult thing for a welder to add an O2 bung. If the flange is compatible with a standard flange, it should not be a difficult task to add the bung

Yeah, therein lies the problem - the flange is not standard apparently. Unfortunately that part of the cart on the driver side was badly destroyed by the miserable cat thief. It's making my restoration project a little bit complicated now.

The passenger side is much better. The catalytic converters were stolen from my vehicle.

I think your best bet will be making it from what you have. Cut off the flange and weld on a new short straight piece and add O2 bung to that.

I agree. Will convey this to the TIG welder. Thanks for the tip Andrew, I feel better now.
