Door Panel Repair AIR BAG

Has anyone repaired the airbag panel in the front doors? The black vinyl has come unglued.

Nope the interior section. The black pleather section. I would attach a picture, but cannot. How do you add a picture to a posting?

If you are referring to the SRS airbag cover, I think you will have to remove it and re-glue the cover in place, then glue the cover itself back into the door.

In a browser, don't use the quick reply box at the bottom. Instead, hit the "Reply" big button. The option to attach a pictures is there.

You will have to disassemble the door panel. Will need to drill out the plastic rivets on the back of the door to remove the panel. I've done it. Annoying, but doable. You can either melt new plastic in there to reassemble or use short screws with a wide head.

You mean in lieu of plastic weld or fasteners? I don't see why not as long as you can get it to stay in place during the 24 hour cure time.

I use silicone all over the place as an adhesive. Including on the door panels to reattach the plastic brackets that hold all the push pins. I clamped the upper one in place during curing and outlined all the other plastic parts in Permatex black as a preventative measure.
