Cluster info button

Today, the cluster info button stopped working. The cluster does light up radio info. However, other data does not appear. MPG, timer, clock, range, and other info does not appear. Where does data feed come from?

The KOMBI is a gateway in a sense that nearly every network connects to it AND it has it's own CAN termination. I suspect some of that information comes from the DME and some stuff from the EWS.

Did you check for any codes?
Is this a "highline" version of the Kombi?

This stalk BC button can be used to "programme" what BC info appears on the cluster when he stalk BC button is pushed. Have you accidentally removed all options?

How? It just switches all between the options.

Do you have any literature on this?

Hold the button down until display reads "PROG".

Documentation on this is in the owners manual - I'll dig it out...

Oh wow! Nice! Good job posting that.

Okay...so I'm wondering if the "PROG" is just for the MID? Because on mine, if I hold down the "BC" button, it will never show that. Could it possibly be because I took out my MID? Hmm...

Great! Thanks! I'll try the reprogram when I get off work. Wifey likes the "Range" option. AKA: lets me drive it to fill it back up.

Quite possibly. At the very least you need either an MID unit or the factory Nav in order to use the PROG feature, since you need to use the buttons to programme the functions. You can plug it back in temporarily to do this (assuming you still have it somewhere...)

This is one of several reason for never disposing of a MID unit after removing it for install an aftermarket HU etc. Another is the PIN CODE disable function!

Ergh! Well you called it, I don't have the MID anymore. :/

I already disabled the PIN code via PA Soft. But dang..I can't set clock time or reset the MPG. Unless there's another way without the MID?
