x5 e70 diesel fuel injector control module and injectors

Hi all, hope someone has answers and also helps other with similar issues.
2009 X5 E70 diesel 130k ,car starts, runs and dies, cant make it far enough,
so i get a code 0611 fuel injector control module performance, i check module for power, or bad connection, seems ok,
then i check resistance of all injectors, all range between 176 to 183 kOhms except for number 4, (around 30 to 50 K ohms)
Questions
is this injector test reliable enough to conclude injector is culprit?
can you just change the solenoid on injector?
is it normal that OBD did not indicate faulty injector?
thanks guys for any input

You may get more information on the e70 forum as this is the e53 forum, although there are many guys here who have both.

That is reliable enough to tell that injector Nr.4 is broken. (Resistance should be 170-200 kOhm.) These are piezo injectors. Buy a new one. By the way have you already renewed the water cowls in the engine bay? This is the usual base culprit that water drains on top of the engine rear side and soaks the injectors.

at the price these injectors are, you want to make sure you troubleshoot accurately, and i will renew the water cowls, they are the culprit, you can see the corrosion
thanks for the reply
