Trifecta Resolution Conundrum (RESOLVED)

Brother X Men,


The overhauled Module showed up on my front porch.

Module Masters did their magic on it.
They also told me it was coded for a manual
transmission. As much fun that would be with
my 4.6is engine…. I’m stuck with an automatic.

I’m getting nowhere on coding locally. I am contemplating
just buying a lap top and a cord and doing it myself.

The question of the day is:

Should I install this overhauled module?
Will ANY lights on the dash go out?

I do own a Schwaben. Which is a Foxwell 510 rebranded.

Were it me I would swap in the part and see if I can pair it using the "foxwell".

I've r&r a module on wife's car and came up trifecta on replace. I was able to find the "gripe" and clear the problem with the foxwell.

I think that you need to calibrate the steering angle sensor when you swap. At least, that's what I had to do on the '01 that I have to fix a couple of things on to get rid of.

(Fun fact: It actually wasn't a module issue. I should have tested continuity before sourcing an ABS brain - it was six inches of missing harness behind the fender liner.)

If you are correct, the Schwaben (Foxwell 510) can do that.

I can't speak to whether or not a manual unit will work with the auto, though.

Yes, but not very many.

Run auto scan in should many modules. If not you may have a damaged obd port. What year?
