If you've got a Foxwell (or Schwaben from ECS Tuning) scanner,. you've probably received this notice via email from them.

I'm posting it in case you've lost track of your registration, never registered it, had email problems (I was locked out of Gmail for two weeks, recently), or bought your scanner used from another.

How do you upgrade it? I don't see ant ports?

I've got the Foxwell NT510 Elite, which came with a cable to attach to a USB port on your PC, and with a SD card reader. Though the users' manual (and the website https://www.foxwelltech.us/) also, says to use the USB cable to update (or even register) with them, use the SD card reader instead. It works better. Here's a page from the manual, with my notation:

I have the NT 301 and yes...I just found the miro usb port, will update today.

I got the email about the update. And i was quite a bit exited about it, since it supposedly address a "failure to perform special function on X5_E53", whatever that special function might be. They don't specify that.


But when i wanted to update my NT510 Elite (SD-card in card reader and FoxAssist up and running) there don't seem to be any updates available.. Let alone anything with a version number V2.21.003 for the NT510 Elite..
Is that just me or does anyone else experience the same?

I went outside and retrieved my NT510 Elite, just so I could check if I had the software version you are looking for.


I can't find it as well. I think it's an older version, series version "2.xx.xxx", probably superseded by the "3.xx.xxx" versions on both our Foxwells. Here's a screenshot of my Foxassist page:
