Another E53 bites the dust..

Happened this sunday on my way home after a couple of weeks work in Sweden.
5 cars in all got wrecked. Stockholm's E4 freeway was blocked for 3½ hours. But miraculously nobody was seriously hurt.
(-Yes i have silently thanked whoever is in charge up there, several times, for beeing able to walk away from this, practically unharmed.)

Storytime:

A guy in a BMW GT in front of me looses his temper and very agressively overtakes a guy in a VW in front of him, on the right (which is very much illegal here) then immediately cuts directly in front of him and stomp his brakes so hard that anyone with just a slight idea of how physics work should know will cause a crash, which it does.

The VW instantly smashes into him, i smash into the VW which makes it richochet down the road and into the back of the GT one more time. The Toyota driving behind me smashes into my left rear, and a Kia driving behind the Toyota actually manages to sverve to the right and clears him, but then end up smashing into my right rear instead. -So now i know how the ball inside a pinball machine must feel.

And as one the 'from behind coming' drivers who automatically gets the blame if there is any doubt about who is at fault, both the VW driver and myself was more than just a little glad that i finally managed to get my dash cam installed only 2 months ago.
I shared the video clip to the phone of the police woman who was interrogating me, right then and there. And after seeing it, she had no further questions.
I wish i could show you guys how idiotic that guy behaved. But as there's an investigation still ongoing, i have been firmly advised not to show the clip publicly. Sorry about that.

And in case of any doubt, yes the X is most definately totalled. Which makes me a little sad. It will be nearly impossible to find another E53 in the same condition as this one, let alone a V8 model.

That's a shame. Hate to see another e53 go to the wrecking yard.

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
I was very sad when my e53 was "totaled" after a deer impact but I'm happy with the "sidegrade" to my 35i N55.
