If its diesel, just take the top cover off and egr is located at the front. Disconnect vacuum line and plug it with small screw or something similar.
Job done.

I did it on mine and I noticed a little more power and turbo lag is less.

I did the disconnect and plug vacuum line option, after removing and cleaning the EGR but I don't believe there was any performance difference. It will cause an error in the DDE when scanned, but no dash lights.

There's a couple of different versions of EGR pipe on these things; some of the euro models use a water cooled EGR pipe and that may complicate removing it. Don't know what yours has but mine is just a straight pipe - no water cooling.

A simple kit like this is the tidiest way to remove it completely but you will still get the DDE error logged.

Hi all,

Is it possible to blank everything off and leave the system as it is, at least visually, so if anyone checks it it doesn’t raise suspicion?

On another hand is there anyone here who blanked it off and had any issues with car passing road test or some law like issues?

Finally is there a worthwhile improvement in engines performance and will it extend engines life considerably.

Just trying to justify this idea.

Thanks, L
