I ordered a foxwellNT510 since I was able to order off amazon. However it still hasnt arrived.

Thinking I should get up to speed with ITSA. Had kdcan a decade ago… open to suggestions on how to get started with new software & cables… have an old windows laptop with usb, ethernet and rs232

With the MAF disconnected, it’s in open loop mode which means that all settings are on a preprogrammed curve. All sensors are ignored. If it’s dying when in closed loop mode, then information the computer is getting is in error. Could be several things including vacuum leak, air bypassing the MAF sensor, o2 sensors, knock, rpm, etc.
