Red face New member-needs advice

Hello X5 world. I am a recent buyer of a very low mileage 01 X5 4.4i. Since then I have had the very fortunate luck to find this wonderfule site and have used some of the information already. I have a few questions that I would like to utilize all of the expert advice you all can offer. I abviously want to do performace upgrades (intake, exhaust, reprogram) as my first steps. So any info in that area is appreciated. Any advice on Jet Chip? I have already spoken with Martin at bimmernav on a bluetooth retrofit. Also I read the article on installing a heated steering wheel in a e38, has anyone done this with an X5? If so, basically the same procedure?

Again thanks and any other recommended mods welcome.

Welcome, I too have a 01' 4.4. The X5 is a great ride and I wish you many years of enjoyment. It's hard to improve perfection, so the only mods I,ve done so far have been; removed all labels, and silenced the warning chime, now I think it's perfect. Oh yeah, Axxis pads too.

The ice>Link Plus offers steering wheel control as well as ID3 text and charging of your iPod. Full CD Quality can be expected after installation. You are able to browse by Artists, Playlists or Albums.

The iPod can be safely stored away in the glove compartment for 100% stealth installation and accessed completely from the steering wheel controls.
