Replacement Radiator

I am in the process of accumulating the parts for my cooling system refresh on my 06 4.8is. I have everything besides the radiator and coolant tank. Question is :

Has anyone had any experience with the Contitech coolant tanks?

Also for the radiator, does anyone know where to buy the actual Behr radiator besides from the dealer? I see a few places sell several versions of the Behr but emails to them didn't get me any answers. I know most parts companies sell the Behr/Hella service economy version. If i can get something better without spending over 500 for the OEM that would be ideal.

Thanks in advance,

A local radiator shop can get the plastic tanks and even the core (possibly w/more rows) and build it for less than stealership prices, but they will also be able to order original from the supplier.

This is your best bet! 4.8iS, why risk it for less than a $200 dollar difference.

Edit: Posted wrong link.

If done properly and direct fit, more rows would be nice!

X5chemist will become famous soon enough
When radiators fail on my small block trucks fail, I upgrade them to big block radiators. The extra capacity is great for cooling. Is it possible to go from 3.0 to V8 radiators?
