M54B30 question early vs late coils
I'm anticipating a motor swap and one of the avaliable motors is from a 2004. The coils are not present and the valve cover doesn't have the two fastening points per coil. Can I reuse my original valve cover with the correct mounting or is there something else different between early and late motors that will also need to be accounted for?

Yes, you can use your early style valve cover and coils on the '04 engine...
You might study the secondary air valve also....I think it might be different. If so, use the early style as well. |
