2005 N62 how to test disa motor?
My 2005 N62 X5 has a 2B71 code, disa valve. The valves inside the intake move freely and smooth, and the actuator motor looks good, clean and gears are good. Anyone know how to test the motor? Has some kind of electronic positioning controls inside, so maybe that is bad. The part is around $500, so I want to verify before replacing.
I have pictures, but can’t figure out how to attach to this post. Thanks |

You can test the VANOS solonoids using a OBE scan tool.
Also the VANOS gear drives could be contributing to that. |
