E53 Newbie!

Hello everyone!

My name is V and I am the new and proud owner of my very first E53: a 2002 4.6is in Estoril Blue. I’ve always wanted to own an E53 since my best friend got his a few years back (he has a 4.8is). I purchased her a little less than 3 months ago from a friend of mine. To me car is perfect, she just hit 150k miles. Here is a photo of the car taken a few days ago (still trying to figure out how to upload more than one on here!). I also own two other BMWS: a 2018 F80 M3 and a 1985 E28 528e. I hope to meet some local Xs in Miami.

Welcome! Estoril is my favorite color for e53. It wasn't an available option when I ordered my 04 4.4i, unfortunately. A friend had an 03 Imola 4.6i at the time. I would have waited for him to change to something else, if it was an Estoril one.

It truly is a gorgeous color. I love Imola as well!

Thank you! It is! I had a 2015 F36 435i in Estoril blue 2. Not really as beautiful as Estoril blue 1 though.

I'll admit that both Estoril shades are good-looking, but then I've always liked just about any blue. I have a 2001 in Topaz blue, which is very reminiscent of my old '67 Dodge Monaco 500, which had a similar shade of metallic blue). I also had a '66 VW Type 3 fastback in VW Blue, also a similar shade, and a '73 VW SuperBeetle in Marina blue (a baby blue tint, sorta matching my eyes), which caught my eye and I bought straight off the showroom floor. Also "baby blue" was the color of my '75 Chevy C-10, in Skyline ? blue.
