Interesting results window control switching

Purchased the 08 e83 front door panels for my 06 e83. Fit like a glove.

Car has been sitting 3 weeks (Replacing the sunroof cassette)

Installed fully charged battery.

Plugged in 06 master window control switch. No action, control, power whatsoever!

Mind you the wiring is all 06 X3.

Now get this...!
I switched to the master window switch using 08's....
Now it works!

Any ideas?
