Water Pump Pipe Leak

BMW X5 N62 E53 2006

It looks like its leaking from one of the smaller pipes from the engine. I cant remember if there is a washer in that pipe. I dont think I can fix this without removing the pump. I used a lighted mirror to take picture. Looking for advise on how best to proceed. Thanks.

Water Pump Pipe Leak

When i did an m62 rebuild the pipe/s coming out the back of the pump corroded. I was able to refurbish to a mirror finish and install new seals.

I spun the pipes with a drill and used sandpaper then scotch Brite pads.

I painted the pipe outside the seal area to keep the environment from re-infecting.

But yes: removal required.

I did both ends of both pipes. I don't know if the n62 has the same arrangement but i suspect it does.
