I got to go around the row of recyclers in Sacramento a few years ago, picked up a side mirror for the 4 6 while I was there. They've got recyclers for pretty much any make. Found it interesting and cool to see.
When I got a good look at it it was a manual fold not a power fold, good thing I popped the cover underneath and checked. I wasnt too far away, went back and they replaced it. I saw one of the Rancho Cordoba recyclers is selling a 4 6 fabric interior on Marketplace. But $2500 is a bit much for me.

Saw this video like 10 years ago. Super cool look inside this world but also quite sad. It looks like they are breaking almost perfect cars, one was even a Z3M. I wonder what kind of scrapping this actually is, since they seem to be BMW employees?

The cars being scrapped in that video (which I saw a long time ago) are test mules and pre-production models that could not be sold.
