Air conditioning air warmer on passenger side

Noticed it today on the drive home. I'm guessing the blend door isn't closing all of the way? Is this is a common problem?

Could also be the hot water (coolant) valve on the firewall not closing off the hot water on the passenger side. This is a known issue...

Second on the valve. I think a good scanner will tell you the core temp of passenger and driver side but you can just grab the hoses to confirm the valves are closed

Thanks, i'll check that out.
Assuming that is the issue it looks like the valves are rebuildable with kits: https://klifex.net/products/heater-v...egYr0-HV264Okx

Checked today after a long drive and the three hoses going into the valve were all the same temperature (150 F, as measured with an infrared thermometer), despite the interior temp being set for 65 F. I assume this means the valve is bad.

Stuck open. I like the idea of the redbuild kit.

First check the refrigerant pressure. I have to top mine off every year now because there's a slow leak.

The symptom is exactly as you stated in the title.

I use the AC Pro product available at Walmart / Amazon / AutoZone. You don't need a full set of gauges.

They also have a high-mileage product.

It sounds like the hoses are at under hood temp, if the valves where open they should be close to engine temp and then both valves would need to be open for all hoses to be at same temp. The valves are normally open and need power to close so you could do a quick check for that but it's probably more likely you have low refrigerant or something else going on like the previous poster is saying.
I guess you could turn the heat on (maybe even try one side at a time ) to do a sanity check on the hose temps and power applied.

Low refrigerant would not cause the air to be warmer on the passenger side only, correct?
