DSC, ABS, Brake lights on..
Alright, So my DSC 4x4, ABS and Brake lights keep coming on. I changed both front ABS Sensors and had to replace the drivers side hub and the lights are still coming on, just in time for winter! Anyone have this problem and solution?

You need a proper scanner so you can find out where the source of the problem lies. Often the problem had nothing to do with the abs parts and is the alternator outputting low voltage

I'm having the same problem after changing out an axle and replacing my rotors and pads. I had to compress the brakes to get the pads to fit and it overflowed the reservoir so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I watched some videos on replacing a speed sensor and works off of the wheel turning and a cable connected to the hub but i haven't pulled the wheel off yet to check on wiring yet...

You can get the foxwell NT-510 for under $200 from Amazon and save a boat load of cash instead of having to go to the stealer.

IT FIXED!!!!
It was a busy two days of working on it; yesterday I pulled the headlight out so I could work around the ABS module. I pulled it out thinking I'd just swap it with the one I got from the wrecker but after following the one Youtube video, draining my rad, moving hoses to gain access to the module and removing it, I watched another video only to find that they are vehicle specific and needed to be rebuilt in order to work properly; or so they said... I google searched for a shop that rebuilds them and came across a Formula Auto Service in Calgary, AB. I talked to Eugene who was super helpful and he told me to put my old one in so he could pull up the codes and go from there so I re-installed my module leaving my headlight out and went to see him this morning. The codes told him it was the pressure sensor so I went home and swapped out the sensor (on the back of the aluminum block with all the lines going into it). I was narrowly able to access it from the top between the power steering reservoir and the oil filter with ha 24mm wrench moving it mm by mm. I got it out, swapped it quickly with the one from the wrecker (not to lose too much brake fluid) and headed back to Eugene's shop to hopefully cancel the codes and call it fixed but the codes still came up so he sent me home again to swap out the control module (black plastic housing). Without draining the coolant this time, I managed to loosen all 6 torque bolts from the ABS module, swap it with the wrecker one and headed back to cancel codes. SUCCESS!! He had to do something with his scanner so the X5 would accept the newer one but it worked and I'm happy to have traction control and ABS back!!! Side Note: I had no idea till today that when BMW came out with the 4.6is they used the Alpina B10 engine out of the 5series. I thought that was pretty cool!! Anyways, i hope someone on here can learn something from this adventure and thanks for all your help also.

A proper scan tool helps pin point which one is going out, otherwise your best bet is to start by cleaning all (4) of the sensors. If cleaning, replacing them, doesn't resole it you'll need a new ABS unit.
