Lowering springs

Is there any difference between on the springs on a X5 3.0 and 4.4?

I got a 4.4 and was looking at ebay for some lowering springs and according to the auction it's for 3.0 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Have sent a e-mail to the seller but no answer yet....

Go directly to H&R and find your application. H&R also povides you with a list of local authorized distributors for your area.

I have this setup on my 01 4.4 for about 20,000 plus miles now without a problem.

no difference, other than if you have air suspension on the rear of your 4.4 you will only need the front 2 springs. it will fit regardless.

Front and rear will be lowered approx. 1.5" and 0.5", respectively. Same with SP or no SP.

Is there any step-by-step guide how to change springs (rear and front)?

Could someone please post a pic of what an X5 looks like lowered?? I'm interested in having it done.

How is the ride quality when lowered?? Is it much stiffer?Did it improve the handling?

Thanks

J

Here's my 4.4i lowered with H&R springs. Ride quality is definitely compromised as it is stiffer but handling is improved.

Nope. I love how it looks without the huge wheel gaps. Yeah, I could do w/o the bouncy ride but it's a compromise for sharper look and better handling/cornering.
