Is there no one online? I have internet access for about another hour and then I am out of my apartment and deploy on the USS Abraham Lincoln for 5 months, I would like to get this taken care of before I leave haha... I know there are some lurkers =]]]:p

Brumann -
Disconnecting your battery won't remove the service light. Whatever condition is triggering the service light will still be present after you reconnect the battery cable. You'll need access to an OBDII scanner to erase the codes. Regards, Mike

Thanks guys!! Appreciate it! I guess I am going to go buy one, and then try and return it. Normally I would just have BMW do it, but it is 1.5 hours away and honestly I don't have time to trek down there and back before I leave country... Thanks again... OUT!

Why don't you take it back to the dealership and have them investigate the issue? Maybe there IS something wrong with your X? Would it not be better to be sure rather than resetting the warning lights?

I have an appointment tomorrow at 1 pm to get it looked at. They knew my situation prior to my phone call about me deploying Thursday, so they hooked up me and got me in...
