Painting front kidney grill to black

HI ppl. Im doing this for my 4.4i X5 but the middle of the grill is titanuim. do i need to sand them and primer or i could just primer it and apply colour?
please let me know Thanks.

Sand it using a wet 1500 grade sand paper,dry it thoroughly and paint it.

so do not have to primer it?
can i just primer the middle part without sanding it?

or buy a set from bimmian, then you have the option to swap back out.

Your Titanium grill is oem painted,so it has the plastic primer already!All you need to repaint it is do as In said in my first post!

Believe me ,I have a paintshop!

yes i would trade with someone who has a preface lifted3.0 grill.
but my grills are already off, i need the 3.0 grill immediately.

If it was the Chrome grill i would switch...but yours is just the silver painted one correc?...i have an 03 3.0
