Need help with CPO Purchase!
1. Oxford Green 2000 X5 4.4 with 27,000 miles for $27,000 2. Sapphire Black 2002 X5 3.0 with 47,000 miles for $31,000 In my very newbie view, both models have positives and negatives. While the 2000 model has a big 4.4 engine and low miles, it is also a first year production model and I'm worried it may have or develop serious kinks. While the 2002 model is newer and comes in a stunning Sapphire Black, it has the smaller engine, 20K miles more than the 2000 model and costs 4K more. Based upon your experience, which model would you go for? Thanks very much for your input. |

'02 "may" be better, MY-wise. I'd shop harder if it were my buy.
And, read that CPO warr. closely: it is not the safety net you might think, imo. Plus, most Stlrs give it a wash, maybe a detail and slap on that CPO tag;the insp. process is cursory. Neither cars you quoted are huge/great deals, imo. As for motors: 4.4 fans love theirs and 3.0 fans love theirs, too. GL,md
