Windshirld wiper ISSUE: very annoying!

i just bought an 2003 X%, 3 weeks ago. it started raining yesterday and i go to work as normal, but this time it wasnt raining hard enough to need to have my wipers on full or slow mode, but intermidiate . correct me if i am wrong but i beleive that is tha mode were the wipers go once every 30 seconds or so. anyways the intermidate mode seems to be stuck in slow mode. and slow mode is the same. i am wondering if i hit a button somewhere or something becuase they worked fine when i bought the car and for the past 3 weeks. any ideas. is there a reset button somewhere i am missing. i don not have a rain detector either.

thanks for the help in advance.

From the manual:

1. Intermittent mode or rain sensor*

Intermittent wipe:
You can set the wipe interval to four stages with rotary dial 7. (On the stalk.)
In addition, the wipe interval is varied automatically depending on road speed.

Hope it helps!

Then the adjuster in the stalk must be defective. New stalk time I would say.
