x5-in-uk is on a distinguished road
Major x5 problem any ideas

my x5 3.0 ,02 yesterday lost all power and went in to failsafe mode it even staled.Iswitched engine on and off fine for 2 minutes and back again the engine was rattling around like it had no oil which it did .the biggest insult they rented me a mini cooper and charged £750 deposit
Any ideas?

You give us little to go on???Any error code?
Rattling engine could be a lot of things!For example ,if your engine is running smoothly and you pull out a HT spark lead ,the engine will rattle as no spark reaches the cylinder to fire it up!If you take another HT lead off it will rattle even more!You could have an electrical problem there!

Sounds like it is already at your dealer. They should have the proper diagnostic equipment and hopefully you are still under warranty. Enjoy the mini !!
