Hi Guys:

Just ordered this from my dealer in clear, they didnt know if the bulbs were clear underneath, but I assume they are and I will need red bulbs?

Anyone know?

Thanks

The lens is clear with RED led's. It turns red when lit.

Well actually the bulbs are clear as well and when the brakes are applied they light up red. That was a def. mod I had to do as well when I replaced my tail lamps.

Thanks Greg, but as mine is a 2002 and did not come factory clear, I am wondering if my existing ones are clear and glow red when on, or are they just clear bulbs and are red because of the red cover?

I know I will figure out when I install, just want to have all fo the parts ready.

Nick

I'm confused by your question somewhat. How would you replace bulbs in the unit? I think it's a sealed unit. Mine is a 2002 as well. Original had non led with red lens. New one has red led's with clear cover. Sealed unit will only take you about 15 monutes to install. Piece of cake.
