Valentine1 Installation Question

Hi, all.

I am trying to install V1 in X5. I'll follow the instruction here, but have a question. Am I supposed to use direct wire power adapter with harness, which came with V1 or to peel the phone cable and wrap with tape or something? It's pretty bulky for me to tuck in the space inside of garage door remote switch.

Thanks.

Brian

tap power on the homelink with the direct power adapter. secure the black ground wire with the screw shown. then the telephone cable runs from the power adapter to the v1 unit. it all fit up there. you can cut the telephone cable to size and reattach the end connector or just go buy a shorter one at the store. any telephone cable will due. it will fit.
