I've got an indicated 13.8 to date with 1900 miles on the odo. I hope it picks up a tad! D-Sport 100% of the time. Mostly city driving.

This follows a lifetime (83K mi) of 14.5 mpg from my '00 E39 M5. I was hoping to do at least a little better!

I average about 17.5 mpg in mixed driving. My hiway driving is usually cruise control set at about 82 mph for about 100 miles. I've never seen better than 18 though, in the 11k miles I have on it so far.

That's tank by tank, not what the car reads.

Nobody's discussed octane ratings temperature, and altitude. In the "winter" here at 39 inches above sea level running under 80mph, I see 23-25mpg on 93 octane. High altitude summer driving with lesser octane--would that not make a difference?

Can't forget, I spend a lot of time over there. I lived in Lichfield, Staffs; still travel over a fair bit.
