Cool Tranny software upgrade
X went in for 1st service today. Only issues were a window regulator and that occasional bang from roll to accelerate issue. $tealer upgraded tranny software. I can not believe this is my X, the difference is amazing. When I pulled out of the parking lot, it felt like it did the first time I drove a BMW, when you don't expect the power. Anyone else have their software upgraded? I should have done this along time ago. What should I have for breakfast tomorrow, Lexus, MS, Infinit Decisons, decisons.

Glad to hear about your upgrade, Laura. I've had that done a couple times on my X... but mostly because it was acting up... You should post some pics of your X, by the way.

Yeah..... I had a complete computer and transmission software re-jig and have been testing it through all sorts of conditions......

It hasn't eliminated the detonation, but holds the gear while under load and selects the correct gear at low speed. Light acceleration only kicks down one gear instead of the usual 3...

It certainly feels perkier in general, almost like a sports mode without all the revving!
