what would i need...

to wire these lights:

do i need a power supplies and stuff?

if i do, should i use something like this?

i'm going to go talk to the techs on wednesday when my car is in the shop, but i thought i'd get an idea from you guys too.

(note: the one with the ciggarette charger switch i'm going to have the techs wire through the car to the switch for looks.)

As referenced in the article, you need a PTR7 programmable relay and also a standard relay. And of course you will need the BMW switch and some standard electrical wiring.

or what? can you point me in the direction of one? i'm wondering if i need the strobe power supplies...like one that sends out the strobe patterns of power.

Just hardwire it into whatever 'toggle' switch you will be using. If you want to use the factory angle eyes to power these led lights, then find the positive lead in the AE's and use it as your hot wire to the lights.

OR

Use a secondary toggle switch. (you can buy this at Walmart) All you have to do is mount the switch, ground the switch to the car and run a hot lead to the switch...then ground the lights on the body of the car and run their positive lead back to the switch.

If all this confused you, you may want to take it to a custom shop and have them install it, most audio shops will actually do something this simple.

it's for my volunteer firefighter job. i actually talked to my bmw dealer and a tech agreed to do it for me. bout 4 hours of work to do it and all i need to do is buy the lights and the switch for them. they'll mount it and everything.
