X5 Lights (Please help)

I just switched out my amber lights for the clear sport lights (simply just plugged in) . I used the same bulbs and inserts from the orginal amber ones. Now I am getting the check light and check brake lights on the display sometimes. What do you think it is? Do you recommend some type of contact cleaner. I was not having this problem until I switched out the lights.

Switch cleaner from an electronic supply store should clean up any dirty contacts.

Can you be a bit more specific (electronic supply store) example?
