4.6 aero kit...

Hi all,

I searched the archives and found several 4.6 aero kit suppliers. One even sends the bolt on kits painted for ~$900. Are these kits reputable products? I am also looking into 20" replicas.

Does anyone have any pictures of a 3.0 with a kit and wheels? Are there any fitting issues with installing the kit on a 3.0?

Thanks!
BBFL

Hi

I have X5 3.0 with 20" replica wheels and 4.6 aero kit installed.
I think I got the wheels from hotlinewheel for less than 1000 usd.(not so sure)
I got the aero kits from Pacific BMW. (I think it is cheaper)
There should not be any fitting issues, many people have done that.

X5world has DIY tips for the aero kit. Buying tips for 20" replicas.

Good luck

I've spoken with Jude (owner) before. A lot of people loved his service, but lately, it seems like he's out of the loop. I've heard alot of complaints from e46fanatics, such as he won't return emails, calls, and he isn't shipping out parts.

If you are a Bmw club of america member the parts with 15% discount come out to 680 at a BMW dealer, factor in that you have to paint them, 900 sounds like a decent deal, I am in the same process as you, you can get 20" replicas for about 2000 with tires plus factor in another 1000 for the body kit. Car will look really nice though

The 4.6 also has wider fender flares in the rear, I dont know the cost of these

I just bought body kit

I just bought body kit from crevier bmw and it was $530 plus $50 for shiping to chicago got in less than a week and i have replica rims and really happy with them i got from ebay for less than $800 i think but you have to call and make a deal and tires for me was like $820 from onlinetires.com and its same size as original just its M+S but traction on dry and wet is terrific and looks even better than $1600 diamaris.I tried couple tight 90 degree corners at about 40-50mph and there is still hard to tell where is the limit, this car handles same as my old 350z which was traded to this x5 5sp, sport package after i broke 3 manual 6sp transmissions on brand new car in less than 9 months.

You got the body kit for $530? I have to call them. I need the 4.8 though my dealer is talking aobut $535 for just the front. I need the rear too. Where did you get the wheels for $800? Thanks.

Heard you got the kit from crevier for $530...just wondering how much it was to paint the parts...is this something they would do for a reasonable price or is it better to do elsewhere.
