New X owner here.. question..

OK..

I saw 3series a while back and really liked the interior lighting but not sure where he got the bulbs or how it would look in the X.

Anyone want to comment on this light kit? worth it ? no?

Exclamation This one???

Take a look at this http://bimmian.com/X5 and click on the first picture that says interior xenon. I think it 's the same as what you're talking about. By the way I got this in my X5, it looks good but is not as bright as oem!!!
P.S. - :xoutpost: , Congratulations on your purchase, and

What color interior do you have? It looks better on the darker interior (black). Welcome.

:xoutpost:

I've heard good things about Vision Bulbs. Their eBay store has better pricing than their web site?? Strange.

These are the ones I bought for my E46 ($39.95) but I haven't installed them yet.

None of the Xenon bulbs will be as bright as OEM. They all have a coating that will filter some of the light.

Great Timing Stillentt- I just installed the Bimmian kit of Xenon Interiors yesterday!
All in all, I'd say they're about as bright as OEM (def not brighter), but with a VERY different tone/quality. Similar to looking at halogen vs xenon headlights, there's a lot more ambient "glow" around halo HL's or the OEM interior lights, while the xenons have a much smaller glow but better clarity & blue-white tone. I totally prefer the xenon interiors, especially since interior lighting doesn't need to be any brighter imo. BTW, I have black interior, so maybe that's why I like em so much
It's exactly the look I wanted- though I would've bought them from someone else (Bimmian's price was higher & they missed a bulb in my kit!) The supplier above at $39 offers more QA for less cost, so they'd get my nod over ebay or bimmian.
Here are some quick pics from the upgrade.

OK- these pics are a better straight-up comparison between the two:
OEM

Xenon

Great pics. Thanks.

Looks like a shot of the left and right. It would be nice to get both in the same pic so that we can compare brightness. Comparing two different shots isn't meaningful since they could have different exposures.
