Brakes squeelling bad!! Help!

I have a 2001 X5 3.0 and I had new brembo blank rotors, and axxis deluxe pads installed. Every time I slow down and brake, my brakes squeel loud, any ideas why? Please help!

Try bedding in the brakes if you haven't already done so. Sometimes it'll take a couple of hundred miles over several weeks for your new pads to get broken in, so to speak, and you could get some noise from the new rotor surfaces in the meantime. Think of the rotor as a big record and the brake pads are like the needle playing on it.

There are many threads on the proper procedure for bedding brake pads. This is most likely the cause of the noise. You may need to apply an anti-squeal compound like Plastilube.
