Brakes feel a little soft

Made an appointment w/ Stealer this morning b/c OEM brakes have been feeling a little soft over the last 2 weeks.

Could there be any correlation to putting on my new 20s? I thought some have said that braking seemed more responsive when putting on the summer gear, but not me.

sounds like your brakes has air in it somewhere... try to bleed it or perhaps even flush the fluid if older then 2 years.

I made an appt with the Stealer, but have to wait another week before i can bring it in. It should be covered under warranty, but just in case...not sure I understand what bleed the brakes mean?

i might be b.c your brakes are trying to stop more wieght b.c of the rims, and that somehow makes the brakes feel lighter? b/c your haveing to push down harder to get the same kind of response.

Do you really think bigger rims would have THAT much of an effect on the total weight?

It isn't the dead weight of each wheel... it is the rolling mass - much harder on the brakes. I don't know for sure but I would venture to guess that a 4.4 ordered from the factory with the 20 inch wheel option has larger brakes than one that isn't...

The brakes working harder may be causing them to fade which would give you the mushy pedal feel.
