are there any OEM or aftermarket magnetic oil drain plug for our X?

Both my M3 and the X5 have oem magnetic oil drain plugs!Even my daughters suzuki has it!!!

They're also on propeller driven aircraft - used as a warning there may be metal paricles in oil, meaning the engine may seize, get on the ground asap!

if you have metal in your engine then you have a lot more to worry about than the cost of a 10 dollar plug. i really dont think it makes a difference

The metal I would be worried about is the aluminum, more than the iron. Until they invent a magnetic plug that attracts aluminum, I'll pass.
