Just upgraded fogs and inserts

Called BavAuto last week. Upgraded my fogs to the 85w PIAA H3 bulbs. I then installed the chrome rings that surround the fog lights.

http://store.yahoo.com/trucktoys4les...-trim-bmw.html

They snap into the existing black fog covers. I like them on my black saphire body. Seems to give it a little something.

Not my taste, but if you like it then it's all good.
I would've opted for the Taitanium OEM ring that goes there.

I didn't know there were titanium pieces for the fog lights. However, I haven't been able to find a lot of parts for the X in the first place.

Since she's black on black, the first mod I performed was to cover up all of the blue on the roundels with black carbon fiber (steering wheel roundel included). The next mod was to replace the front titanium grill with a black grill while leaving the oval chrome. Then last night, the chrome rings around the fogs. She looks good.

The next, and costly mod, will be to upgrade the steering wheel. After driving M3's for the last five years, I miss the feel of the thicker steering wheel. There's a few on EBay I'm looking at.

I agree w/ the feel fo the steering wheel. I've driven M3's for daily drivers as well and it was until last year that I decided to get the X5, big difference when it comes to steering wheel. If I can somehow find or retrofit an M wheel w/ the heated option then I am all for it. I have been getting items from my local dealer for the new look I am giving my X in the next month or so. So far I picked up the titanium grill, rear tailgate trim piece and the mirror sorrounds, also putting OEM 20's and the 4.6is kit w/ the Chromium angel eyes. Can't wait.
