Retrofitting auto-dimming interior mirror in '05 3.0i

Got a question for the experts here. My friend just bought an '05 3.0 with Premium Package but without the auto-dimming interior and outside mirrors. I told him that he could buy the auto-dimming interior mirror (with digital compass) and replace the one came with his X5 and he should be all set. All of the wirings should be there.

I couldn't find any info here on the xoutpost.com so I going to ask you guys.
Please tell me I am right.

Yup as long as he has the rain sensor (which I think is standard in the US?) he'll be fine.

If he wants to save some $$$ I'm sure some guys have their old dimming mirrors here (without compass).
