Aluminum running boards

Anyone have pics of aluminum running boards on Sterling Grey? I am considering these but would like to see first. As stated in a previous thread, I have a non sport and think they would set off the window trim nicely.

TIA

PS - Accella was willing to oblige but it seems his feline friend took off to Wisconsin to see the skeet first hand and took Accella's digital with him!

Granted it's a 4.8, but LVR has some nice pics up in his gallery:

Probably the best one for a view of the running boards is this one:

I wasn't sure about them, but think that the aluminum seems to blend in well with the paint. May have to get them for my wife's '06 X5 4.4i pretty soon ...

Thanks Casey!
That's exactly what I was looking for. I started going through the gallery but didn't make it as far as LVR. They go well with the color. You just made up my mind. Off to the dealer. Have a great day.

Ooooh, guilty as charged...

Make sure you don't pay more than $500 for the parts...Nick at Morristown BMW has them for $485 plus freight. Local stealer was $750 I believe. IMO either find an obliging handyman (there may be one or two at the DC meet) or find a local body shop. Labor should not be more than 3 hours. And keep the old plastic parts if you don't buyout your lease.

Some dealers in NJ(PaulMiller & Morristown BMW) give a good deal (upto 25% off) on running boards. In case you need help in install let know.

Thanks guys.

I didn't know prices varied that much from dealer to dealer. I was going to order and have dealer install. I'll see what Open Road wants, if too much I'll order from Morristown. Don't have a handyman currently so I may take you up on the meet deal, as long as you don't mind playing with my X. Thanks again, now I think I'll order aluminum pedals! I knew this bug would get me sooner or later. Somehow I think I'm better off not owning my baby, could get very expensive.

This is just beautiful. The titanium grill & rims tying into the gleam of the running boards.... LVR's got a sweet ride there...

If I mod my baby into the 3.0 version of this, I'll drive a very happy man!!

Laura,

If you can get the RB's for less than $500 it's a good deal. I paid $560 for mine from Crevier a year ago.

Thanks Rayxi,
Your X5 is the same as mine, same wheels, non sport, it's like seeing mine with the RBs on. I'm sold.

Are you DIY? Lots of info on the forum. Let me know if you need any help.

We have the same wheels for only a couple more weeks...
