How Many Days To Build An X5?

I've been following the X5 I ordered on the owners circle website...It finally went "into production" today on the website. In fact, it has been "on order" for nearly two weeks. Tonight, the status changed and a VIN number was issued: 5UXFA13576LF99024

Does anyone know exactly how many days it takes to build an X5?

Incidentally, I got it with everything on it AND special (Imola Red) paint:

3.0 liter
6 speed manual
Imola Red over black leather
Sport package
PDC
Cold Weather Package
Heated Rear Seats
Heated Steering Wheel
Navigation System
Premium Sound
Rear Climate Package
Self Dimming Mirrors
Self-Leveling Suspension
Servotronic steering
Xenon's

Mod's in the garage waiting to be put on: 20" 87's, running boards, Sirius, O.E. TV tuner, O.E. backup camera, rear bumper protector.

I just want to have some idea of how long it will be in production before it ships to me.

Thanks,
Chris

Very nice.

How did you get Imola on a 3.0i? Special arrangement with the dealer?

About a month or more from the start till it hits your door. But don't sit around waiting like some folks do. It's like waiting for water to boil. Go live your life and before you know it BAM. It will be here.

It will move fast now. Should be at the performance center in next few days. Another 2-3 weeks before your dealer gets it.

All the mods purchased and in the garage waiting before the car arrives. Calabasas is surrounded by BMW dealers, so I'm guessing maybe you'll get 15 miles on your new X5 before the first mod goes on? You got my respect, because I would do the same thing!

You can call this hotline 1-800-831-1117 to check the status of your X5. It is more accurate than the Owner's Circle website. You will need the production # of the order. It helped me a lot when I was waiting for my 650i.

that's the number i called when i was waiting for them to build my X5. It's a lot faster and it's more up to date. Owners Circle gets updated only once a week.

How Many Days In Production....

XX3: Any paint color not offered by BMW can be had on your X5...For the premium of $2,500...Ordinarily, I wouldn't have gone this route, but since the lease deals are so great right now, I figured 'what the hell' and I splurged for paint...This will look great next to my Imola/Black e39 M5

Quicksilver: You're right...A watched pot never boils. However, I have my first child (a daughter) scheduled to arrive on/about the 2nd/3rd week of May...I just wanted to make sure the X will arrive before then.

Asawadude: I live two miles from Bob Smith BMW...I ended up purchasing it through Pacific BMW. I had purchased a brand new 2001 X5 through Century West and will never do that again...It's just not a well-run dealership...It's a beautiful dealership, but a Greek-tragedy when it comes to ownership and operation; Pacific took pretty good care of me when I bought my 04 4.4 so I gave them the order again. I really wanted to purchase it through Bob Smith out of convenience and so that I can ensure a BMW loaner if I ever needed it, but in the end, I got everything you see for $659/month...Nothing down but drive off of $1500. As for the mods, the X will go from Pacific, to my house, which will be closer to 30 miles and THEN the mods will go on

IFLY: Thanks for the #. I called, gave them the last seven digits of my VIN and they told me the car is scheduled for being finished (build-out) by the 6th of April. I should have it about two weeks later.

Damn...What am I going to do until then?
