Cool Need AUX input for 2001 X5 4.4i with NAV 16:9

The OEM part only works on 2002 models and up, and I am searching one for the 2001 model with nav 16:9
Can anyone help me please?

Not sure if this applies to the X, but from what I remember with my 325 wagon, any car that was pre 2002 had a different stereo that did not have the AUX port.

If I remember right, the switch to (or from? cannot remember now) Alpine head-units was when they started offering the aux solution, so you may need to buy a newer head unit before you can get aux in your X.

Anyone else? I could be wrong about the X, but this was definitely the case for my 325.

Good luck.

Rob

Have you checked for the taped up connector behind the head unit? I have an 01 with 16-9 and it wasn't equipped with the extra connector. Was hoping maybe late production would have included it.
