New DVD player and bummed out

Well I just got back from my local audio shop and had a new 10" headliner mounted Delphi DVD player put in and I bummed out over the quality of sound. It all started this morning when I installed my AUX cable I received from Pacific BMW. I thought since I have this in place I should go out and get a DVD installed, so I did just that. Well after hrs. of waiting on the installation the guy drove my car around, and I gave it a test drive. When I popped in a DVD I could barely hear sound even though the volume was turned totally up on both the head unit and the DVD player itself. The guy told me allot of people complain about this. Also, the headphone volume isn't all that loud as well. You can hear DVD's but I know soon as you hit the highway you will have issues (DADDY CAN YOU PLEASE TURN THE TIRES DOWN )....Question: Is anyone else experiencing this other than me??

Thanks,

Craig

Try adjusting the gain on the aux input. If you have non-DSP, non-nav like me, hit the audio button, then hit the button for + underneath the heading "Aux". Good luck.

turn on your dvd player. switch to aux mode on your headunit. now hit one of the station preset button on the headunit, 1-6. 1 in the lowest gain, 6 is the highest. report back how it works now. next buy me a beer.

edit...
also, what did you do with the OEM interior light housing that was there? are you aware that's where the motion detector for your alarm is, or i guess was?
