X5 3.0 question

My mother is looking into getting a '06 X5 3.0 and would like to get the folding mirrors, but she said the salesmen said the folding mirrors do not come on the 3.0.

Is that correct???? Seems to odd to me.

hmmm

TIA

thanks. yeah sounded odd. Mom really needs them as she tends to rip them off just about every car she has ever had.

Firstly, the options are different in Canada and the US. Some of this may apply, however.

I have a 2003 X5 3.0 with the premium package, which included folding mirrors. I could not buy that combination today, as BMW has started ramping down for the new model at the end of the year, and is offering only the Executive Edition here, which is a limited package of options, and only in a few colours. Part of their inventory management plan.

Not sure when the same strategy hits the US dealers, but this may be the reason for the sales rep's comments.
