Question for turning off the Daytime Running Light

I am setting up an appointment with my service adv. to turn off the DRL funciton. However, he is not sure if the AE will stay on while the DRL is off.
Does anyone know or experienced?
Thanks.

Don't see why they wouldn't come on, they aren't run by the same wiring. The DRL are you hi-beams on low wattage, the AE's have nothing to do with that, as far as I know

Doesn't your auto insurer give a discount for Daytime Running Lights? Or do you just want them off AND keep the discount?

AAA didn't give me any discount for the DRL... at least it's not listed on the insurance statement.
The service adv stated that the first time to make the car memory change is free, but the second time will charge for 1hr labor fee.
So, just wanna make sure to get everything correct at the first time.

Wow, my stealer never charged me either. I'd find another one if I were you. The fact that they even told you that would be enough to make me leave. I remember one time, the receptionist re-programmed the DRL and I was in and out in less than 15 mins.

I had to tell the insurance company that it had running lights and then I got the discount.

Not sure why you want them off, it does improve visibility .
