Cool Heading To Greenville this coming week.

I have to go down to Raliegh Charlotte area and will pop around to see Spartanburg and Greenville clients as well. I plan on doing plant tour. Anyone been and got any suggestions for a fellow X5'er who is going to the "mecca"?

Thanks

Niagara

I always thought that WBA in the vin number meant it was born in Germany. 5UX prefixed all 2002 and newer X5s which is USA vin number.

The plant tour is great. But also ask if there is a way you can pop out to the performance center and test drive an M3 on their track. If it's a slow day they may let you...

One thing to notice while in the factory - you'll see that the Z3's with the cleaner lines are the ones without the silly reflector on the rear belt line. Apparently USDOT requires that reflector and when compared side-by-side with a non-US-bound model, the little red reflector looks out of place.

Too bad you have to check your cell phones and camera at the door...

Have fun.

Niagara: don't know where you're coming from, or time frame,
but if you have the time to take "the longer way home/north", I can shoot you some map links of fineazz 2 lane blacktops, a lil' northwest of Green/Spartanburg. Or, stop in here on the mtn for a bev or dindin.

I hate to be picky, but... Raleigh is some three hours away from Charlotte. There is no such thing as a "Raleigh/Charlotte area." Are you coming to Raleigh AND Charlotte?

I live in the Charlotte area. If you need anything while in here, PM me, and I'll give you my cell phone number.

IT is a great tour. We went while we were there for our M5 Experience. I bet they would let you go in the X5 course as well if you ask.

And all X5's were built there. We saw ones headed for Europe and even ones headed for England (kinda odd seeing the wheel on the other side).
