Price to pay for CPO '03 X5 4.4i w/ 36K miles?

I'm looking at a loaded (Nav, Sport pkg, xenons, etc..) 2003 X5 4.4i. Black on Black. CPO car. Local lease return with around 36.5K miles.

How much should I be paying for this?

Thanks,
Matt

My guess is high 30's. Here's an example. But if you go with it, definitely opt for the add-on 100K mile warranty. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks HoyaTerp.

The CPO covers the vehicle up to 100K miles I believe. Would it be too much of a discount to go for $36K from the dealer? Obviously the goal is to low ball and move from there, but just want to make sure I know where they should be letting it go for.

This is a California car, if that changes the pricing at all.

I think that vehicle wholesales at 31K tops. I'd play hardball and offer $35K -- what the hell, all they can do is say no.

I'm fairly certain the 100K warranty is extra cost, unless they're throwing that in. If so, you should take that into consideration when negotiating.

The best price they gave is $38 w/ the CD changers (turns out this one didn't have it).

I haven't pulled the trigger. Thoughts?

Are they certifying it until 100k miles??
If you feel like this is the car you really want make them a deal and try to give a little more $$ on the down payment that way they see you are seriuos.

As I guessed, high 30's. It's a reasonable deal and I wouldn't walk away, but I'd try to get a little something extra out of them just for fun.

And what about the 100k warranty? Is that an extra cost or are they including it in that price?

Yes, it's a CPO car w. the 100K warr. I'm putting down 15K and would be at the 3.9% rate.
