First off, let me say that I absolutely love my new-to-me X5. It has 75k miles and was kept exceptionally well. I actually contacted the previous owner in North Atlanta and she was very helpful, explaining that she loved it and that it never gave her a bit of trouble, save a window regulator

. She only traded because she wanted a change. Anyway, my X5 has no noises, or anything and from what I have read, this is rare for an X5 to not have any problems. I've been trying to notice any noises when going over bumps or turning; I haven't noticed any that were obvious; are the control arm, sway bar link noises noticeable or do you have to concentrate to hear them? I'm a very picky driver so if there were a noise, it's very likely that I'd hear it. Also, the driver's window auto-up function doesn't work, the auto-down works, just not the auto-up. I'm guessing this was the window that had the regulator replaced. What's causing the auto-up function not to work but the auto-down to function properly? The previous owner said that probably 2/3 of the miles on this X5 are highway miles stemming from her travels back and forth to Birmingham from Atlanta, so is this why the suspension parts still seem to be in very good condition and noise-free or is that wishful thinking? I had a very good European tech look at it before purchasing and he said all parts were in exceptional condition...he had nothing to gain by lying so I believed him. Nonetheless, with the control arms and sway bar links costing so little, I'm pretty inclined to go ahead and buy those and replace them anyway. What do you guys think? Sorry for all the questions...if I've confused any of you let me know and I'll try to clarify.
