Define comfort glass?

Is it like the RR that has a front windshield defroster?

Yes you can. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/b...tallation.html for the part number.

I just went throught this last week...BMW part number for comfort glass conflicts with my VIN...it became a big deal, and between the SafeLite and BMW folks I just threw my hands up and had the regular OEM installed....your VIN may be different. Do a search for Whitney Houston and you will no longer have a crack problem.

Followed the X5world article, and had it installed(for free, insurance covered it) last summer.

They should be able to get it for you if they the state that you are in allows it.
