Boy have you opened up a can of worms. There are hundreds of posts for iPodding your X5. Search for "icelink" and/or "dension". You'll get tons of info. If you're asking about the 2nd gen BMW iPodYourBMW kit, I haven't heard of a new version yet. There was some rumor that they were working with Apple to get a better version out but I've heard nothing else.

BTW, keep your fingers crossed for the Canucks. I'm worried they might not make the playoffs at the rate they're going.

Thanks man! I looked at the Icelink and it looks pretty good to me, I like the mounting dock as well. I just want to make sure it works well as described. Yes, you are right, there are so many different models but I am not sure which is the best.

You have your choice of a docking cable as well, most people opt for the "stealth mount" since all control is performed from the steering wheel and/or radio.

The 2nd generation of the "iPod Your BMW" is designed to work with the new 5, and 6-series too.

The price just dropped recently on the kits from $199 to $179, there may be the possibility od a GB sometime in the near future.

Tom,

Just from this post and another in the X5 forum, I think we have a lot of people ready to do a group buy now.

What price could you offer?
