Trim for the M3 wheel - HELP!!

Hi guys, have got the M3 paddle shift mod (as posted the other day) -

Noticed that the trim on the wheel is named titanium shadow - which does not match the trim in the car (almost, but not quite - the photo doesn't do it justice here - the wheel trim is a much darker colour!!). The trim in the car is named graphite, which is much lighter (more silvery) than the titanium wheel trim. Does anyone know of a part number for the graphite trim?

I have seen it on a stock M3 at my local $tealers - they say it's odd, they don't know how the car can have that wheel - the database only shows 2 options - black and titanium. So how did that car get the graphite trim on the wheel. I asked them if they'd swap wheel for the one off the car in the showroom, no joy . Might go down with a screwdriver later

Anyone here have the silvery graphite trim on the wheel?

Well, first of all, your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the X.

Could it be that I've got a right hand drive wheel then????

Should I have purchased the left hand drive version

No. That's a useless mod.

Found these part #'s, and the first one is discontinued. What's the chance that the one you've got is one of the other one?

I was kidding about the wrong side of the wheel. But, I think you know that.

Ove on M3Forum, one of the aftermarket companies was talking about manufacturing the top piece of the M3 wheel in brushed Al to match the bottom half. I don't know what became of it, but you might want to take a look and do a search and see what you come up with.

You can purchase that piece in the Aluminum trim that BMW makes.

You can also retrofit the sport wheel (double spoke) bottom part onto the M3 wheel, I believe there is a guide on E46fanatics.

In addition, many sponsors including ourselves carry CF top and bottom pieces that can match up.

Thanks for all your replies. That's a great help. I think there appears to 2 variants for the titanium trim - 1 darker (like the one I've got) and 1 much lighter (aka graphite). The latter maybe the discontinued one as IFlyX5 mentioned earlier.

The double forked wheel lighter colour trim can be sourced but still having problems locating this trim for mine. Will keep looking.
